Learning With Giants: Marc Sparks and His Triumph

Living in Dallas, Texas, most entrepreneurs, business people, startup developers, company owners, name it, have already heard from either the name of Marc Sparks or the companies that he founded and achievements that he has already accomplished.

Marc Sparks is one of these personalities that are always in the spotlights of business news or, mainly, Dallas news. Mark Sparks has already run many firms, and his strong leadership led him to be the chief officer of many groups in companies related to telecommunications, real estate developers, investment strategies, business management, administration, and other areas.

Currently operating as the head of Timber Creek Capital, a firm specialized in selling investment and business advice that are updated to the newest trends and market strategies every month.

A series of business built from the ground began after the young entrepreneur graduated from his years in high school, in 1975, Austin. Since then, Marc fell in love with the concept of creating his businesses and learning more about the many markets that the world had to offer. He acquired a lot of experience in the process, and more than half a dozen companies were founded by the businessman, either as the co-founder or as the owner of the business, leading him to become one of the youngest successful startup developers in the United States.

His story of success sometimes leaves behind the amount of dedication and hard work that he had to put in, though. Hours of thinking, planning, talking to other business owners and of understanding the different markets of the U.S. were put into perspective. The young businessman is also an author of great success, having written the book “They Can’t Eat You,” Marc Sparks talks about his story, career, the triumphs and downfalls of his path as well as some of the quotes and knowledge that he brings with him every day.

Venture investments are no stranger to the young writer, as he has owned and led some of his companies in the field of capital management and financial advice.

According to Marc, he was born with a keen instinct that led him to the triumphing path that he is now, always selling companies worth millions of dollars and developing products and brands that are self-made and created from scratch. Having had no training at all from professionals in the area, Marc considers his success a gift.

For Timber Creek Capital, for example, it all began with an idea. An idea that not only covers, according to Marc, an aspect that is very underdeveloped in the market, but also targets consumers that are not receiving the treatment that financial advisors could be giving. This kind of philosophy has already caused the young company to be worth millions, just because of the leadership of Marc Sparks.

Sparks is a case of study, being one of the most impressive stories of success coming from one person alone. He has already done non-profitable work and helped construct dozens of homes for communities, as well as assisted a foundation that aimed to remove kids from their state of poverty.

How Doe Deere Is Empowering Women Through Her Makeup Line

Meet Doe Deere, the founder of Lime Crime, a cruelty-free makeup line rooted in e-commerce that has gained a huge following of fans who can’t get enough of the ultra-pigmented lipsticks, eyeshadows and nail polishes.

In 2004, Doe created an eBay account to sell her DIY fashion, and stayed true to her own aesthetic by posing for pictures while wearing bright makeup in lots of vibrant hues. Four years later, she started the now-famous makeup line, and today she’s a hugely successful entrepreneur, inspiring business-minded women on a global scale. Today, she’s eager to share her story and secrets to her success so that she may empower other women to follow in her footsteps.

Born in Russia, Doe moved to New York City when she was a young girl. As a child, she was always drawn to brightly-colored and unique clothes, and let her imagination run wild using her mother’s makeup.

It’s undeniable that Doe’s image has contributed to her success, and rightfully so. With an enormous Instagram following, women of all ages are inspired by her playful approach to fashion and beauty. Refusing to take herself too seriously, her influence is giving fans permission to express their creativity through their appearance, while staying true to themselves.

As an Internet entrepreneur, Doe strongly believes in the power of branding. She can’t emphasize enough how integral her own personal brand has been to her success, and since creating her online presence in 2004, she has been consistent, which is key. Instead of tirelessly keeping up with ever-changing trends, Doe has been committed to her unique aesthetic of bright colors and playful imagery. This consistency has given her a loyal fanbase that has stuck with her as fads come and go.

Anther large contributing factor to her success, she claims, is her commitment to uplifting her employees by treating them with respect. The happier the working environment, the more motivated her employees, and the more success for everyone involved.

As far as giving advice to other women looking to follow in her footsteps, she believes you can never start developing a business too early, and that it’s essential to always follow your gut instincts. Additionally, she advises developing a strong customer service team.

The beauty guru didn’t always feel like a success story, however. Throughout her 20’s, she took on several different administrative jobs, but ultimately felt that she wasn’t being true to herself. Even years after watching her makeup line take off, her company website was hacked, and Doe found herself working overtime to rebuild the trust of her loyal customers.

Today, Doe has her hands in every aspect of her business. From testing products out in the lab, to meeting with her creative director daily, it’s no doubt a full-time job. All in all, however, it’s worth it, especially as she watches companies around her following her lead; for instance, the “lipstick swatch” which enables online customers to see lipstick colors on actual lips rather than against a blank white image.

Doe says she is inspired by a variety of people, from Dita Von Teese to Donald Trump (business-wise, not politically, she insists), but the biggest influence on her work is her husband and president of the company, Mark.

Quickly he proved himself worthy of this title by upgrading the resort and greatly increasing its popularity within just a single year. Through his hard work and dedication, the company has since become one of the most successful ski destinations in the world and he hopes to continue improving with time.

In addition to his resort business, Andy Wirth was appointed chairman of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board in 2013. His experience has allowed him to help create flights to resorts in several states, as well as Canada. Wirth also spends time involved in philanthropy for the benefit of the environment and the community, particularly near Lake Tahoe.

However, Andy Wirth has also had his struggles. In late 2013 he went on a skydiving excursion and almost lost his life. With a bloody and nearly detached arm after falling into a vineyard, Wirth was prepared to die of blood loss.

Luckily, through the help of surgical procedures and therapy, Wirth was able to leave the hospital and eventually go back to work. According to him, recovery has been a difficult journey, but since his injury he has been working to get back in shape and start doing the activities he enjoys once again, such as swimming and bicycle riding.
